A costcenter is an organisational concept that allows you to structure the ordering, usage and billing of SWITCHengines in your institution.
It has one or more administrators that can manage the following:
- Add administrator
- Add sub-costcenter
- Delete sub-costcenter
- Create projects
- Manage billing address
- Share images within costcenters
Please remember that an admin has cascade rights. This means higher level admins have rights over all subcostcenters and projects below them. This allows you to organize your projects into separate logical entities - for example by department, courses, projects or other structures. This is important when granting admin rights to people within your organisation and also while setting up a costcenter structure as it allows delegation of responsibilities in a flexible but controlled way.
